Large woody liana to 35m with glabrescent striate latticed young twigs. Coriaceous leaves 260mm x 110mm glabrous above & slightly puberulous glaucous beneath. Solitary extra-axillary flowers with bracts to 3mm x 1mm, coriaceous rusty pubescent sepals to 6mm x 3mm, coriaceous yellow petals, green outer petals to 32mm x 7mm rusty pubescent outside & nearly glabrous inside, cream inner petals to 10mm x 4mm pubescent outside & glabrous inside. Puberulous or glabrous fruit to 20mm x 9mm ripening yellow.
