Glabrous liane with simple tendrils, striate stems. Leaflets to 450mm x 250mm. Terminal racemes to 350mm long with bracts & bractlets of fragrant purple to pink 30mm long flowers with 5mm lobes in a long spike, tube to 30mm long, calyx to 5mm x 6mm, tomentose or puberulent corolla to 30mm x 20mm with lobes 7mm x 7mm. Fruit a flattened capsule darkening to brown with age 280mm long x 14mm wide
