Liana or scandent shrub with simple tendrils, lenticellate sparsely puberulent branches. Shortly hairy coriaceous leaves, glabrous above with white tomentum beneath, mucronulate coriaceous leaflets to 180mm x 110mm. Terminal or axillary many-flowered panicles to 500mm long or more with bracts & minute bractlets, scented deep pink to lavender densely hairy flowers white in throat to 40mm long, lobes to 11mm, denticulate coriaceous calyx to 5mm x 2.5mm, pink or purple corolla to 35mm long, villous outside. 350mm long x 13mm wide fruits maturing brown a flat pod.
