Robust hemi-epiphytic liana to 20m. Glabrous coriaceous leaves to 1.35m x 35mm with denticulate spiny margins spirally arranged in 3 ranks, white leaf sheath purplish-red when young.Terminal umbels with creamy to pure white bracts, outer bracts sometimes tinged pinkish, dark brown. 3-4 spirally arranged green to yellow-green cephalia to 190mm long. Fruiting spadix to 110mm x 25mm. Berry smelling of meat to 20mm long
