Scandent twining shrub with glabrous branches. Denticulate glabrous leaves to 70mm x 15mm, leaf-sheath with greyish-white hairs on sides & top. Terminal inflorescences starting green, maturing red, pistillate red fleshy spadix 20mm diameter. Fleshy fruit tan drupe to 10mm long.
