Large woody climber, twigs with longitudinal wrinkles or latticing & brown woolly tomentum. Leaves to 200mm x 80mm glabrous above except hairs on midrib & brown-woolly hairy beneath. Axillary or terminal panicles with bract 6mm x 4mm, sepals to 5mm x 7mm hairy outside & glabrous within, coriaceous outer petals to 15mm x 8mm woolly hairy both surfaces, inner petals to 13mm x 6mm greyish woolly outside & brown verrucose inside. Fruit 10mm x 25mm
