Large climber with rusty-tomentose twigs becoming glabrous, orange flowers, leaves coriaceous to 190mm long x 65mm, slightly pubescent on midrib & nerves above & brown tomentose beneath, terminal racemes with bracts, brown tomentose sepals 3mm long, coriaceous petals, outer petals to 12mm long, glabrous inner petals smaller, fruit 48mm x 30mm with velvet light rusty brown hairs
