Large woody glabrescent climber with striate or latticed twigs. Leaves to 120mm x 50mm hairy beneath. Solitary axillary flowers with bract 2mm long, triangular sepals 4mm x 2mm, hairy outside glabrous inside, outer petals to 14mm x 11m pale hairs outside & woolly tomentum inside, inner petals 8mm x 5mm pale tomentose both surfaces. Scurfy grey fruit to 15mm diameter
