Large woody glabrescent climber, glabrescent young twigs with lenticels, coriaceous glabrous leaves to 110mm x 40mm minutely puberulous on midrib above, terminal or axillary panicles with bracts to 1.5mm long, rusty-tomentose flowers, 2m long sepals rusty-pubescent outside, cpriaceous yellowish-brown outer petals to 12mm x 5mm, inner petals to 8mm x 2.5mm. Dark green with yellow tinge rusty-pubescent to glabrescent fruit 20mm diameter
