Large woody climber with longitudinally wrinkled twigs, younger parts with golden-brown hairs. Leaves to 100mm x 30mm glabrous above except hairs on midrib & tomentose beneath. Axillary solitary flowers, triangular sepals 2mm x 2mm brown-hairy outside & glabrous within, outer petals 11mm x 4mm brown-hairy outside & more or less glabrous within, inner petals mostly glabrous 9mm x 3mm. Sparsely golden-brown hairy fruit 25mm diameter
