Large woody twining glabrous climber with lenticellate stems, coriaceous glabrous leaves to 125mm x 60mm, axillary or terminal cymes or corymbs to 80mm long x 90mm with bracts, of 10mm wide hairy yellowish-green flowers with purple or brownish-yellow centres, villous inside, dull yellow corolla 10mm across with purplish centre with purplish hairy lobes, corolla lobes to 7mm, pear-shaped hairy beaked follicles with 3-4 ribs & curled tips 100mm long x 50mm, noxious-smelling flowers
