Tall liana to 20m or creeper or small tree with hirsute young branches later lenticellate. Coriaceous glabrous leaves to 300mm x 140mm with recurved margins. Axillary velvety panicles to 150mm long & terminal panicles to 250mm long, with hirsute sepals to 3.2mm x 4.5mm, 5-lobed white or cream hirsute corolla to 12mm x 9mm with a tube to 3mm long. Fruit normally glabrous yellowish-brown or blue 20mm x 12mm
