Large scandent nearly glabrous shrub, liana or creeper, branches hirsute when young developing longitudinal cork ridges. Coriaceous glabrescent leaves to 160mm x 65mm. Pubescent axillary & terminal 5-6 flowered cymes to 160mm, 5 leathery tomentose sepals to 4mm x 5mm, white corolla to 11mm with tube to 4mm. Glabrous red or purple drupe 20mm x 14mm
