Tall liana to 50 metres, tomentose branchlets later with some lenticels, coriaceous glabrous leaves to 150mm x 70mm, axillary cymes to 40mm long of very fragrant flowers, tomentose sepals to 2.5mm x 3.5mm, pale yellow hairy corolla 12mm across with a tube to 2.5mm, warty grey fruit to 24mm x 17mm
