Herbaceous vine with puberulous hexagonal stems. Triangular leaves to 80mm x 100mm with biternate or triternate lobules & leaflets to 25mm x 17mm, sparsely puberulous both surfaces. Inflorescence with bracts to 4mm x 0.8mm, inner bracts reddish-yellow 6mm x 2mm, 20-25 florets, yellow corolla most glabrous to 5mm long with triangular lobes 1mm x 0.5mm. Achenes to 1mm long with barbed bristles to 2.5mm long.
