Scandent evergreen shrub with red-brown scaly branches, coriaceous leaves to 80mm x 35mm, glabrescent above and red-brown scaly beneath. Axillary fascicles of fragrant white flowers, calyx tube to 5mm long, lobes half as long as tube, red-brown scaly fruit to 18mm long
