Glabrous woody twining vine to 3m with leathery glabrous mucronate leaves 120mm x 80mm. 50mm greenish-white, yellow or white flowers with green tube with bracts to 3mm long, in lateral or sub-terminal panicles or umbels, sometimes solitary, calyx lobes to 5mm long, corolla tube to 60mm x 2mm, swollen in middle with lobes to 30mm long, divaricate glabrous yellow-green fruit to 260mm x 5mm, tuberous roots
