Epiphytic woody shrub or liana to 1.8m with glabrous stems. Glabrous leaves to 320mm x 100mm. Axillary solitayr or paired deep purple-burgundy flowers, glabrous yellow to purple or red calyx lobes, 2 anterior lobes to 30mm x 10mm, lateral lobes to 30mm x 20mm, posterior lobe to 20mm long, whitish to purplish corolla tube spotted lavender inside with pink toothed fimbriate lobes to 70mm long & limb 40mm wide. Yellow to purplish capsule to 20mm diameter.
