Epiphytic herb, subshrub, shrub or liana to 1.2m with brown hirsute young stems becoming glabrate. Serrate leaves to 129mm x 50mm, hirsute beneath. Solitary 10mm cream-white flowers with red inside tube, faintly scented. Green or red-purple serrulate hirsute calyx with lobes to 30mm long, 2 anterior lobes to 28mm long, 2 lateral lobes to 23mm long, posterior lobe to 9mm long. White, cream, pink or purple corolla with reddish lines, to 65mm x 20mm with limb to 30mm wide, lobes to 15mm long. Fleshy red bivalved capsule, bright red with black centre
