Dioecious fleshy herbaceous caudiciform simple-tendril climber with 3-lobed leaves glabrous & scabrid above, pubescent beneath. Yellow to cream or pale orange unisexual 1.5mm flowers, tube to 1mm long, pilose lobes to 1.2mm long in axillary cymes, orange berry to 20mm maturing red with white streaks & rows of dots
