Herbaceous thinly yellow-hairy annual or slightly woody perennial twining vine, prostrate or with twining glabrate stems. Quinate hispidulous leaves to 140mm x 60mm. 1-10 flowered cymes of 35mm- 60mm with triangular bracts to 5mm, white flowers aging yellow, 3 outer sepals to 20mm long attaining 30mm in fruit, inner sepals glabrous & shorter, white or yellowish glabrous corolla to 35mm long. Fruit a pale brown glabrous 4-valved capsule to 20mm diameter with spines & persistent yellow-brown hairy sepals.
