Tall tuberous twining pubescent vine to 30m with prickly lower stems, hairy leaves to 250m x 220mm but usually 120mm x 120mm, male panickes on branches to 300mm long, female panicles hairy to 200mm long with pubescent bracts to 2m long, glabrescent capsule with wings 25mm x 20mm
