Glabrous twining tuberous slender geophyte, glabrous stems with bulbils, tuber to 500mm long. Simple leaves to 100mm x 70mm, male fascicles of flowers rarely axillary to 100mm long, up to 30 flowers with bracts, sepals 1.25mm long, female flowers in spikes to 200mm, a large winged capsule, wing at 90º to 22mm x 24mm
