Tall woody glabrous twining vine to 12m with tuberous roots. Tuberculate stems & mucronate leaves to 120mm x 60mm, mucrone 5mm long. Racemes to 110mm long , dioecious greenish-yellow to cream flowers, spicy sweet odour. Fruiting racemes to 300mm long, brown 3-winged capsule to 30mm x 20mm.
