High-climbing twining vine with glabrate or hairy stems. Trifoliolate leaves, terminal leaflet to 145mm x 75mm, lateral leaflets to 110mm x 70mm, glabrate above & sparsely pubescent beneath. Axillary inflorescence to 650mm long, floral bracts 2.5mm, bracteoles to 10mm x 8mm, flowers to 23mm. Glabrate calyx tube to 8mm with upper lobe to 7mm, lateral lobes to 6mm & lower lobe to 7mm. Purple or violet standard 18mm x 19mm with 6mm claw, wings 15mm x 8mm with 5mm claw, keel petals 9mm x 6mm with 5mm claw. Flat glabrate fruit 120mm x 30mm x 4mm
