Twining liana, sparsely ferrugineus-pubescent stems becoming lenticellate. Trifoliolate leaves, leaflets to 200mm x 140mm glabrate above & hairy beneath. Axillary inflorescence to 800mm with floral bracts to 7mm, bracteoles to 1.5mm x 2mm. Violet or purple flowers to 17mm, calyx tube to 6mm x 3mm with lateral lobes 4mm x 3mm & lower lobe 5mm x 3.5mm, standard to 10mm x 17mm with 4mm claw, wings 8mm x 5mm with claw to 6.5mm, keel petals to 9mm with 5mm claw. Flat fruit 190mm x 60mm x 4mm becoming glabrate.
