Liana with sometimes strigose stems, trifoliolate leaves with terminal leaflets to 120mm x 80mm, lateral leaflets to 120mm x 75mm, glabrescent above & silky beneath. Axillary inflorescence to 400mm with bracteoles to 1.5mm x 2mm, flowers to 15mm, calyx tube 6.5mm, calyx lobes upper lobe to 4mm x 4mm, lateral lobes to 4mm x 3mm, lower lobe to 5mm x 3.5mm. Red-purple standard 11mm x 10mm with claw 3mm x 2mm.Wings to 10mm x 6mm with 5mm claw, keel petals to 9mm with 4mm claw. Fruit to 150mm x 50mm x 50mm with stinging hairs.
