Perennial rhizomatous scandent bamboo with zigzag culms, pubescent culm sheaths to 120mm long, culm sheath blade to 120mm x 80mm, pubescent at base, leaves glabrous or pubescent to 250mm x 25mm. Inflorescence with bracts, spikelets to 9mm long, glumes to 4mm long, coriaceous lemma 5mm x 2mm, fleshy fruit to 10mm long
