Large, high climbing liana or epiphytic shrub with red young leaves and rusty tomentose branchlets. Leaves hairy beneath and sparsely hairy above to 160mm x 50mm. Axillary tomentulose racemes with bracteoles to 3mm, green calyx tube to 3mm lobes to 2.5mm, 40mm pink to red flowers suffused green, corolla tube 40mm x 10mm with lobes to 5mm long. Fruit dark purple to 13mm dia.
