Tall liana or scandent woody shrub climbing to 30m, by means of sensitive inflorescence acting as tendrils, branches with minute lenticels, coriaceous leaves glabrous both surfaces 150mm x 80mm. Scented reddish-yellow flowers in terminal or pseudo-axillary panicles with bracts, calyx to 2.5mm long with glabrous sepals 3mm long, sweet-scented white corolla with reddish tube to 19mm long & lobes to 14mm long. 50mm diameter yellow fruit red-brown when ripe
