Sometimes lianescent pubescent shrub or woody herb, stems clothed in rufous down when young. Mucronulate coriaceous leaves velvety both surfaces 125mm x 75mm scabrous above pubescent beneath. Terminal & axillary racemes to 300mm long of purple or red flowers, 4mm corolla, 2mm calyx densely silky, hooked-hairy jointed legume 20mm x 3mm
