Scandent, erect or decumbent herb with woody base, glabrescent or pilose stems. Trifoliolate leathery scabrous leaves glabrous or puberulent above, strigulose, hispid & hoary beneath, coriaceous leaflets, central leaflet 100mm x 50mm, lateral leaflets to 38mm x 20mm. Terminal or axillary pubescent pseudo-racemes with bracts, to 180mm long, primary bracts to 4.5mm long with 2 smaller secondary bracts. Calyx lobes to 3.5mm long, pink or pink-violet corolla to 8mm long, standard 5mm x 5mm, wings & keel 6mm x 2mm. Pubescent jointed legume 40mm x 3mm.
