Pubescent or scantily hairy herbaceous climber or prostrate creeper with woody base climbing by aerial roots, striate puberulent stems. Trifoliolate leaves, glabrous above puberulent on veins, strigose or pubescent beneath, terminal leaflet to 90mm x 55mm, lateral leaflets to 80mm x 45mm. Axillary racemes to 450mm long with bracts 4.5mm x 2.5mm, of white, red or purple flowers 6.2mm standard, calyx lobes to 3.5mm long, wings 4.5mm x 2.6mm, keel 4.6mm x 3.5mm.
