Large glabrous woody slender evergreen twining liana to 15m, tree or scandent shrub, glabrous stems with lenticels. Pinnately trifoliate to 5 or occasionally 7 foliolate leaves, glabrous coriaceous leaflets, terminal leaflet to 160mm x 85mm. Axillary pseudoracemes or terminal racemes to 200mm long with bracts to 1.4mm x 1mm, of 12mm scented white flowers with pink tinge to 12mm long with subtending bracts to 0.8mm x 0.6mm & bracteoles to 0.7mm x 0.6mm. Glabrous or thinly silky calyx to 4mm long with tube 3mm long & lobes to 0.5mm x 4mm, white to pale pink, purple or pale blue corolla to 9mm, claw to 4mm long, standard to 10mm x 9mm, wings to 9mm x 3mm, keel to 8mm x 4mm. Yellowish fruit long flat hairy or glabrous leathery buoyant pods to 55mm x 37mm with narrow wing 5mm wide.
