Woody twining liana or shrub, rough hairy stems to 10m. Denticulate coriaceous leaves to 150mm x 75mm, hirsute beneath. Upper axillary & terminal panicles to 150mm x 150mm, yellowish-green fragrant flowers with bracts, yellow petals to 4mm long. Orange follicles with persistent sepals, to 5mm diameter.
