Climber or bushy shrub to 8m, scandent branches, glabrescent young branches, coriaceous leaves to 220mm x 85mm glabrous or sometimes pubescent on midrib, axillary or terminal infloreascnece with minute bracts, triangular pubescent sepals to 5mm long, cream fleshy petals to 13mm long glabrescent outside glabous inside, bright red fruit with 2-6 joints & waxy bloom
