Herbaceous puberulent twining vine or liana with young parts puberulent-tomentulose. Unlobed or 3-lobed leaves pubescent on veins or glabrate above, densely pubescent beneath to 170mm x 130mm. Terminal inflorescences with dentate velvety creamy-white male bracts 2 x 3-lobed 65mm x 65mm, female bracts . Stinging hairs on sepals, pistillate flowers calyx with 10-13 pinnatifid densely hispid sepals to 15mm, yellowish 3-lobed puberulent female bracts. Hirsute verrucose capsule to 11mm wide.
