Pubescent twining sometimes procumbent woody or herbaceous vine to 7m with orange fulvous-hirsute stems. 3-5 parted mucronate leaves pilose both surfaces to 140mm x 140mm denticulate or entire. Axillary inflorescences with 2 x 3-lobed green to greenish-white hirsute pale green fimbriate bracts 30mm x 30mm. Cream, white or pale green flowers, staminate flowers with sepals 1.5mm long in distal cymules, glabrous or puberulent, pistillate flowers in basal cymules with 8-12 pinnatifid sepals to 12mm long. Greenish pilose capsule to 10mm across.
