High-climbing twining liana with puberulent branchlets. Denticulate leaves to 150mm x 130mm, short-pubescent on nerves. Axillary cymes to 25mm across with bracts to 4mm x 2mm, male bracts denticulate, fragrant pistillate green flowers with 5-6 sepals, puberulent sepals males to 2mm long, female slightly longer. Green woody capsule to 13mm across with deciduous sepals
