Liana with puberscent to tomentose stems, leaves 5-7 lobed to 120mm x 120mm, triangular central lobe to 50mm x 70mm with denticulate to dentate margins, glabrous above with glabrous to puberul;ent veins, glabrous beneath, bifid tendrils. Few-flowered male racemes or panicles to 160mm long, cream flowers, calyx tube to 4.5mm across, 5 calyx teeth to 1mm long, greenish-white corolla to 10mm wide with 5 petals to 3mm x 3mm. Apetalous female flowers. Green spiny fruits to 2000mm x 150mm with bristles to 6mm long, explosively dehiscent
