Tree, shrub or climber with long scandent branches. Brownish tomentose young stems becoming glabrate. Leaves to 150mm x 70mm, glabrous above & glabrate beneath. Corymbose cymes with bracts, heads of 6 florets, white or violet scented flowers to 4mm long with glabrous green phyllaries tipped purple, corolla to 3mm long. Strigose achenes 2.2mm long with white pappus bristles to 3.5mm long.
