Scrambling or erect perennial woody herb or shrub to 4m. Whole plant smelling of vanilla. Coarsely lobed leaves to 240mm x 90mm with sinuate serrate margins. Dense terminal cymes with bracts to 9.5mm long, 8-21 phyllaries to 8mm long, no ray florets, yellow disc florets. corolla to 11mm long with lobes 1.3mm long. Achenes to 2mm long with pappus to 10mm long.
