Scandent shrub with glabrescent branches, imparipinnate 2-3 paired coriaceous glabrous leaves to 350mm long, leaflets to 180mm x 70mm. Terminal or lateral tomentose racemes or panicles to 400mm long with pubescent bracts to 10mm long, and bracteoles to 3mm long, pubescent sepals to 4mm x 2mm, petals tomentose outside pubescent inside to 7mm x 2mm. Infructescence to 900mm long, greenish woody follicles or capsule with reddish-brown tomentum becoming glabrous to 60mm x 35mm.
