Liana or glabrous sometimes scandent tree, small tree or shrub with 3 glabrous leaflets. Many flowered pilose to glabrate axillary or terminal panicles to 160mm long, fragrant white or red flowers, calyx sparsely puberulent outside, brownish-yellow petals to 6mm long. Bright red fruits 25mm x 15mm.
