Large glabrous liana, tree or shrub to 9m with tendrils, glabrous branchlets. 3-foliolate glabrous leaves, coriceous leaflets 150mm x 80mm. Sweet smelling pale yellow flowers in terminal or axillary tomentose panicles to 200mm long, calyx to 1.5mm long, tomentose sepals to 3mm long, glabrous white petals to 4.5mm long. Ridged glabrous or glabrate dark green follicles 20mm x 16mm, turning showy red.
