Fulvous hirsute large climber or shrub with coriaceous leaves red-villous beneath hairy above to 175mm x 75mm, very large axillary & terminal panicles to 300mm long with purple bracts to 35mm x 20mm of scented pink flowers with brown striations, ribbed 5-lobed hirsute calyx to 7mm long with triangular teeth to 3mm long & tube to 5mm long, rose-pink corolla glabrous outside to 8mm long with villous band at throat. Winged drupe.
