Climber-creeper to 4.5m or scandent shrub, tomentose branchlets, leaves to 120mm x 60mm glabrous above pubescent beneath. Axillary & terminal panicles to 450mm long with 4 violet tomentose bracts to 30mm x 13mm, 5-lobed hairy calyx to 5mm long with 1mm lobes, corolla slightly longer than calyx glabrous with villous band in throat
