Liana, glabrous mucronate leaves to 110mm x 45mm, glabrous above & pale yellow lepidote beneath. Terminal spikes to 80mm long, of 30mm bright orange-scarlet flowers with red-lepidote calyx, yellow stamens, petals to 2mm x 1mm, filaments to 25mm long. White fleshy 4-winged lepidote fruits to 30mm x 30mm.
