Climbing shrub or tall liana with ferrugineous young branches, scaly leaves to 180mm x 110mm. Terminal or axillary spikes or panicles to 70mm long of fragrant white or yellowish flowers to 3.5m, 4 glabrous petals to 2mm, yellow bracts & 4-winged glabrous fruits brown to 35mm x 40mm wings to 10mm across, leaves dotted on both surfaces
