Tall liana, puberulent stems becoming glabrescent. Nearly glabrous leaves, hairy beneath. Villous spikes to 40mm x 25mm with bracts to 7mm x 3mm, flowers 15mm long, calyx villous outside with 5 lobes 3mm long, 5 white petals 6mm long villous outside. Young fruit 20mm x 15mm with 5 glabrescent wings 20mm x 7mm
